Where the presidential candidates have touched down

The New York Times has an interactive map showing where all the presidential candidates have made visits since the beginning of the year. Both parties have campaign activity focused in Iowa and New Hampshire, but it’s notable that Republicans have spent much more time than Democrats have in Florida and Michigan, which have unsanctioned early primaries. The Democrats are maintaining good relations with party leaders in Iowa and New Hampshire, but are they squandering the opportunity to make inroads among independent voters in larger states?
